The Picture of Dorian Gray (1890) is one of the most iconic works of Irish writer Oscar Wilde. The timeless philosophical novel, which transcends the era of its creation, has repeatedly conducted to its readers provocative themes and surprisingly modern questions about identity and consequences while also raising questions of superstition, morality and the duality of human nature.
We have entrusted the staging of the new ballet creation for the Ljubljana Ballet Company to Marguerite Donlon, who is considered one of the most innovative choreographers of our time.
The performance will feature music by a diverse line-up of composers, including Bach, Beethoven, Elgar, Debussy, Wagner, and more.
