ArtLab is a new research and experimental platform of the SNG Opera and Ballet Ljubljana, dedicated to music theatre, opera, and dance. Functioning as an  alternative chamber stage within Stage -3, it serves as a laboratory for new ideas and interdisciplinary artistic projects, fostering exchange between contemporary artists, theorists, emerging technologies, and the widest possible audience. While championing Slovenian artistic creativity, ArtLab also actively engages with the international cultural landscape and related artistic practices. It is a free, bold and supportive environment for artists – a space in which new approaches to artistic creation, interpersonal dialogue, and collaboration can be explored and developed. Within the framework of ArtLab, new forms of opera, music theatre, and dance emerge and evolve. Stage -3 remains an intimate space of encounter between artist and audience, while simultaneously developing into a dynamic creative hub dedicated to the advancement of art, human experience, and society in the here and now.
