Jasmin Šehić was engaged at the Ljubljana Opera from 1999 to 2023. Between 2006 to 2023, he served as Head of Lighting – Chief of Stage Lighting, and from 2020 to 2023, he additionally held the position of Head of the Technical Department. As a lighting designer, he collaborated on numerous opera and ballet premières in Slovenian theatres, including SNG Opera in balet Ljubljana, SNG Maribor, and Lutkovno gledališče Ljubljana, as well as in opera houses abroad, among them  in Wrocław, Nantes, Angers, Rennes, and Paris. He has worked with directors and choreographers such as Frank van Laecke, Renato Zanella, Youri Vámos, Lutz Hochstraate, Pamela Howard, Dinko Bogdanić, Rocc, and Vinko Möderndorfer, among others. 

He has also collaborated on numerous commercial projects, television programmes, and concerts. He currently serves as Head of Technical Operations at the Gospodarsko razstavišče. His work has received excellent reviews both in Slovenia and internationally. In addition, he has worked with the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training on the revision of professional standards for the occupations of lighting designer and lighting technician.
