Lukas Bareman
Lukas Bareman was born in Belgium. From 2012 to 2015, he trained at the Royal Ballet School in Antwerp under the guidance of Michael Shannon. He went on to study in Switzerland at the Ballet School of the Theatre Basel under Amanda Bennett, completing his training in 2018 in the class of Professor François Petit. After receiving awards at the prestigious international ballet competitions Prix de Lausanne and the Youth America Grand Prix in Paris, he received invitations from several European ballet companies. He chose to join the ballet ensemble of the Semperoper in Dresden, where he completed an internship in the 2018/2019 season under the artistic direction of Aaron Sean Watkin. During this time, he appeared in La Bayadère, The Nutcracker, and Swan Lake. In 2019, he joined the ballet ensemble of the SNG Opera in balet Ljubljana (Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana) as a demi-soloist. To date, he has performed as Pasha Antipov – Strelnikov in Jiří Bubeníček's Doctor Zhivago and in the opera-ballet evening Love Waltzes.
