Our last premiere of the season is a staging of one of the most celebrated musical and theatrical works. The scenic cantata Carmina Burana, which marked the birth of Carl Orff's distinctly personal artistic style, was first performed in Frankfurt in 1937 and bestowed upon the composer immediate fame.
