On July 31^st, the world of theater, opera, and art was deeply shaken and saddened by the news of Robert Wilson's passing. 

Robert Wilson was in Ljubljana several times in preparation of his production of TRISTAN UND ISOLDE.

In an intense workshop in March and rehearsal period in June, he finished his staging to a point at which he felt comfortable for his trusted collaborators to continue the work until the opening without him, should he not live to see that.

On June 28^th, Robert Wilson directed Isolde's LIEBESTOD.

Therefore, we announce and confirm that the premiere of Robert Wilson's last opera production will take place on February 5^th, 2026 in Ljubljana.

TRISTAN UND ISOLDE is a co-production of four opera houses: Teatro Real, La Monnaie, Opera Wroclaw and Ljubljana Opera.
