Yesterday’s premiere of the opera La traviata was also attended by the First Secretary of the Belgian Embassy, Laurens Bielen. He congratulated the creators and the director, Marko Hribernik, on the successful performance of Verdi’s classic, which features Belgian artists – conductor Ayrton Desimpelaere, director Frank Van Laecke, and costume designer Marnik Baert.

The Belgian Ambassador, Caroline Vermeulen, has also announced that she will attend one of the performances in June.
