Yesterday, at the opening of the 3rd International Zagreb Opera Festival, the General and Artistic Director of the Ljubljana Opera, Marko Hribernik, and the Director of International and Development Programs, Marin Blažević, attended a meeting of General Directors of four European opera houses, led by the General Director of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, Dr. Iva Hraste Sočo.

Also participating in the meeting were Ulrich Lenz, Managing Director of the Graz Opera, the Artistic Director of the Maribor Opera, Simon Krečič, and the General Director of the Zagreb Opera, Željka Barišić Pulig.

The meeting was dedicated to planning joint projects aimed at bringing outstanding operatic works closer to audiences and strengthening the ties within the European cultural community.

The Slovenian National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana will perform at the Zagreb Opera Festival on 12 September with Giacomo Puccini’s opera Manon Lescaut.
