Audition for the position of Assistant Concertmaster

The audition will take place on Monday, September 28th, 2026, at 10:00

Application must contain:
- CV including full name and address, - Copy of your identity document, - Copy of High Education Qualifications (Master Degree or Equivalent University Degree), - Work experiences.

Selected candidates will receive official invitation by email together with the required orchestral material 14 days before the audition. A pianist accompanist for the audition performance will be provided. Your own piano accompanist may be brought with you, as well.

Audition programme

1. round:
- W. A. Mozart: Concert of a choice (first mov. with cadence and second mov.)

2. round:
- Romantic concert (first mov. with cadence):
   Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Sibelius, or Beethoven

3. round: orchestra excerpts (some orchestra excerpts may already be asked in the first and second round):
- R. Strauss: Don Juan, Op.20 (bars 1-62);
- J. Strauss: Fledermaus, Ouverture (bars 1-40; bars 75-110);
- W. A. Mozart: The Marriage of Figaro, Ouverture (bars 1-95);
- W. A. Mozart: Symph. no. 39, 4th mov. Finale (bars 1-41);
- B. Smetana: The Bartered Bride, Ouverture (bars 1-103);
- G. Verdi: Rigoletto, Act 2, no. 9 - Andante mosso agitato.

II. part of the 3th round: solos played with orchestra:
- P. I. Tchaikovsky: Swan Lake, Pas de deux, both violin solos;
- L. Delibes: Sylvia – Pas de deux (Adagio) violin solo.
