Rebeka Radovan

Soprano Rebeka Radovan finished the Ljubljana Music and Ballet Secondary School under supervision of the renowned soprano Zlata Ognjenović and graduated from the Pedagogy and Art Section of the Academy of Music in Ljubljana under the renowned mezzo-soprano Alenka Dernač Bunta. In 1989 she became a member of the SNG Opera in balet Ljubljana (Slovenian National Theatre Opera and Ballet) chorus; in 1993 she was promoted to soloist and in 1996 to our theatre's distinguished soloist.

Her repertoire consists of an enviable number of supporting soloist roles and more than fifteen leading roles:

She has been also frequently performing as a concert singer (L. van Beethoven, Missa solemnis and the Symphony No 9; C. Orff, Carmina Burana; G. Verdi, Requiem; G. Mahler, Symphony No 8 and No 2 in C minor, W. A. Mozart, Mass in C minor and Coronation Mass; A. Srebotnjak, Škofja Loka Passion Play; F. Schubert, Lazarus and Mass in A major; A. Dvořák, Te Deum, op. 103 …)

Rebeka Radovan has received the Samo Smerkolj Professional Award for the year 2010.
