Urška Arlič Gololičič

Soprano Urška Arlič Gololičič graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana under Professor Irena Baar and obtained her specialist degree under Professor Vlatka Oršanić. In 2010 she made her debut as Micaele (Carmen) at the Lublin Opera in Poland.

She took part in several master classes, held by such renowned professors as Sona Ghazarian, Krisztina Laki, Helena Lazarska and Marjana Lipovšek. She received a Prešeren Student Award in 2005, a First Award in the International Competition C. A. Seghizzi in Italy, in 2005 and 2006, a Special Award in The New Puccini's Voice of Slovenia in the Ondina Otta International Competition in Maribor, in 2008, as well as a First Award in the Ada Sari International Competition in Poland, in 2009.

She made her first appearance on the stage of the SNG Opera in balet Ljubljana (Slovenian National Theatre Opera and Ballet Ljubljana) in 2011 as Belinda in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas.

In 2013 she became a soloist of the SNG Opera in balet Ljubljana, where she has since then sung the following roles: Violetta (La traviata), Minka (The Nightingale of Gorenjska), Adele (The Bat), Amor (Orpheus and Eurydice), Micaela (Carmen), The Tenth Daughter (The Tenth Daughter), Mimi (La bohème), Eurydice (Orpheus in the Underworld), Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro), and Gilda (Rigoletto).

In her numerous guest appearances in the Geneva Opera, Bayreuth Opera, Slovenian National Theatre in Maribor, Lublin Opera, Krakow Opera and the Croatian National Theatre in Rijeka she has created the roles of Violetta (La traviata), Undine and Pamina (The Magic Flute), Hagith (Hagith), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) and Musetta (La bohème).

She has been also regularly appearing on concert stages, collaborating with renowned conductors and performing with such orchestras as the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish National Radio Orchestra and the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra. She has sung soloist parts in numerous vocal and instrumental works - Handel's Messiah, Mahler's Symphony No. 2, 4 and 8, Mozart's and Schnittke's Requiem, Pergolesi's and Rossini's Stabat Mater, Wolf's Christnacht, Gôrecki's Symphony No. 3 …

In the 2016/2017 SNG Opera in balet Ljubljana season she appeared in the following roles: Angel/Mary Mother (Evergreen), Violetta (La traviata), Micaela (Carmen), Adele (The Bat), Susanna (The Marriage of Figaro), Gilda (Rigoletto) and Marzelline (Fidelio).
